Disney has set a February next-gen arrival for the Anne Hathaway-as-Jane Austen biopic, complete with plenty of bonus features.
Continuing Hollywood's love affair with all things Austen, 'Becoming Jane' didn't exactly light up the summer box office, with its $45 million worldwide gross failing to match the critical and commercial success of such other recent Austen-inspired hits as 'Pride & Prejudice' and 'Sense & Sensibility.' But Disney is still rolling out the red carpet for 'Jane's debut on video, with a February 12 day-and-date debut on Blu-ray and DVD that's chock full of extras.
Bonus features are set to include an audio commentary (participants TBA), a "Discovering the Real Jane Austen" featurette, deleted scenes, and the film's original theatrical trailer. Meanwhile, exclusive to the Blu-ray will be the "Becoming Jane Pop-Up Facts & Footnotes" subtitle fact track, plus the studio's standard Movie Showcase.
Tech specs include 1080p video and uncompressed PCM (48kHz/24-bit) and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround audio tracks.
Sugested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.98.
