Three new immersive audio components have been unveiled.
Harman has announced the latest additions to its Lexicon lineup of AV products. The collection includes the RV-6 and RV-9 AV receivers, and the MC-10 AV processor.
"Lexicon has a rich history in professional digital audio processing, and is found in the vast majority of world class recording studios," said Jim Garrett, Senior Director, Product Strategy and Planning, HARMAN Luxury Audio. "This Grammy winning pedigree is evident in the RV-6, RV-9 and MC-10 with proprietary Logic7 Immersion up mixer, which allows stereo and multi-channel source material to envelop the listener with a rich and natural three-dimensional sound taking full advantage of height speakers."
The new Lexicon receivers feature support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive audio formats with 12 channels of decoding and 7 channels of amplification, along with Logic7 Immersion up mixer technology. Under the hood, the RV-6 and RV-9 use a 24bit /192k Cirrus CS42528 for A/D and D/A conversion, 114dB dynamic range, and -100 THD+N in and out. Likewise, the receivers include HDMI2.0a with HDCP2.2 connections for 4K Ultra HD and 3D video capability and Dolby Vision compatibility. Finally, the units also incorporate Dirac Live room correction tech, enabling users to correct the frequency response and impulse response of a room's loudspeakers.
"At Harman, we strive to continuously upgrade and enhance our product lines to deliver customers a best-in-class experience," said Christopher M. Dragon, Senior Director Marketing, Lifestyle. "By incorporating Dirac Live into our new line-up of Lexicon AV receivers, the listening experience that we provide our customers is more refined and true-to-sound than ever before. We look forward a successful partnership between Dirac Research and our Lexicon brand."
Pricing and availability for the upcoming Lexicon RV-6 and RV-9 AV receivers, and the MC-10 AV processor will be announced at a later date.
