Sony has announced that the South Korean sensation 'Dragon Wars' will roar on Blu-ray day-and-date with the DVD this January
Though a critical and commercial flop stateside, 'Dragon Wars' was a huge box office hit in South Korea and some other international territories. Hoping to reverse its fortunes in the US, Sony will give the CGI-heavy fantasy film another shot on video when it debuts the film January 8 on both Blu-ray and DVD.
Announced extras are identical to both formats, with the fairly slim package including the "500 Years in the Making" featurette, a set of "Dragon Wars Animatics" and a photo gallery.
Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround tracks in English and French.
Suggested retail for the Blu will be $38.98.
