Fox says it's planning to release first-ever high-def versions of 'Mrs. Doubtfire,' 'Patton,' 'The Longest Day' and 'The Sand Pebbles' this Spring as part of an upcoming Father's Day-themed promotion.
As we've previously reported, Fox recently announced that it was rescheduling the Blu-ray release of 'Master & Commander' to be part of a planned Father's Day promo (where it would also join two other recently-postponed titles, 'A Bridge Too Far' and 'Battle of Britain').
The studio now tells us that fans will have even more to look forward to with the promo, as it is preparing three additional titles for its Father's Day line-up -- the war-themed classics 'Patton,' 'The Longest Day' and 'The Sand Pebbles,' plus the Robin Williams comedy 'Mrs. Doubtfire.'
Fox has yet to reveal an exact street date, nor any specs or supplement details, but as always we'll keep you posted.
In the meantime, we've added 'Mrs. Doubtfire,' 'Patton' and 'The Sand Pebbles' to the "Release Dates Pending" section of our Blu-ray Release Schedule.
