Full details are in for the cult horror flick based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft coming to Blu-ray in March.
As previously reported, Scream Factory is working on 'From Beyond: Collector's Edition' for Blu-ray on March 26.
After inventing a way for creatures from the fourth dimension to come into his own world, Dr. Edward Pretorious (Ted Sorel) suffers a gruesome decapitation at the hands of those he brought "from beyond." But authorities suspect his assistant (Jeffrey Combs) is to blame. Barbara Crampton co-stars as a beautiful psychiatrist brought in to help police solve the case in this classic 1980s thriller based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack, and supplements will include: Audio Commentary with director Stuart Gordon and the cast; THE DIRECTOR'S PERSPECTIVE - interview with Stuart Gordon; THE EDITING ROOM: LOST AND FOUND - Gordon Stuart and MGM restoration team interview; Interview with composer Richard Band; Storyboard to Film Comparisons with Introduction; and Two photo galleries.
The release will also be packed with many new supplements including: Audio Commentary with writer Denis Paoli; MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS - A look at the film's extensive Make-Up & Creature Effects with Special Effects Creators John Buechler, Anthony Doublin, John Naulin, and Mark Shostrom (20 mins); PAGING DR. MCMICHAELS - An interview with Actress Barbara Crampton (15 mins); A TORTURED SOUL - An interview with Actor Jeffrey Combs (15 mins); and AN EMPIRE PRODUCTION - An interview with Executive Producer Charles Band (5 mins).
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.93.
