The flight simulator will still be supported, but development moving forward has ceased.
According to reports, 35 people have been laid off at Microsoft’s Vancouver games studio. The same reports indicated that the studio was closing, but Microsoft was quick to dispute those claims. They didn’t comment on the layoffs though, so we’re left to assume that that report is legit.
The two projects that these employees were pulled from were ‘Flight,’ a free-to-play flight simulator that launched earlier this year and ‘Project Columbiana,’ which was involved with a series of interactive books for children.
