New System is Wi-Fi only, and was introduced alongside a new 64GB Memory Card.
A new PlayStation Vita has been introduced in Japan, the PCH-2000. It comes in six colors at new $200 price point. It's thinner and lighter than the launch model, "about 3.8mm thinner than previous models, lighter about 35g," and is not available with 3G. It drops the OLED screen in favor of a 5 inch LCD and the battery lasts longer (an hour) than the original. It also now comes with 1GB of memory built-in.
"In addition to 'black' and 'white', the color of the main body of six color variations 'lime green / white', 'light blue / white', 'pink / black' and 'khaki / black'."
The new model is due out in Japan on October 10th. Sony has not yet mentioned an international release. The newly introduced 64GB memory card debuts at a $100 price point.
