Last-minute Christmas shoppers will have a couple more HD DVD discs to choose from this Sunday, with Universal announcing another three-day release date advancement for 'Timecop' and 'Cat People.'
Originally scheduled for release next Tuesday December 26, the two Universal catalog releases will now officially see release three days earlier, on Sunday, December 23.
Specs for both titles remain the same as previously announced, with each receiving 1080p/VC-1 encodes and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio on 'Cat People,' and Dolby Digital-Plus on 'Timecop.' 'Cat People' also includes audio commentary, making-of featurettes and additional extras.
'Timecop' and 'Cat People' are the latest in a series of release advancements for discs originally expected the day after Christmas, following similar announcements for the HD DVD releases of 'Eastern Promises' and 'The Kingdom,' as well New Line's Blu-ray release of 'Rush Hour 3.'
