Universal has issued final specs for '40-Year-Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up,' both of which will hit Blu-ray this September in unrated cuts and with new exclusive content.
As originally announced last month, the Judd Apatow-directed '40-Year-Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up' will debut as stand-alone Blu-ray releases on September 30, along with the Apatow-produced comedy 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall.' All three will also be made available as part of a three-pack bundle, the "Ultimate Unrated Comedy Collection.'
Matching the already-announced specs for 'Sarah Marshall,' Universal has now confirmed that both 'Knocked Up' and '40-Year-Old Virgin' will also feature both the theatrical and unrated cuts of the film available on a single BD-50 dual-layer disc, accessible via seamless branching. Tech specs include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround.
Extras are extensive, with both titles enjoying the same bells and whistles as the previous HD DVD and standard DVD editions, including audio commentaries, multiple featurettes, deleted scenes, additional behind-the-scenes footage and Apatow's now-standard "Line-O-Rama" montages.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray versions of both 'Knocked Up' and '40-Year-Old Virgin' are U-Control picture-in-picture tracks (Profile 1.1 required), as well as U-Control Tutorials.
Suggested list price for each title has been set at $34.95.
As always, you'll find specs for '40-Year-Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where they join 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and 'Ultimate Unrated Comedy Collection' under September 30.
