After being pulled from Universal's release schedule a few months back, the ferocious felines of 'Cat People' will finally sink their claws into HD DVD this December.
As we've previously reported, Universal first announced a September 25 next-gen release for Paul Schrader's 1982 horror remake, only to issue an indefinite delay in late August.
Now, the studio has set a new December 26 arrival for 'Cat People,' alongside another just-announced cult favorite, 'Timecop.'
Despite the three-month delay, there are no changes to the disc tech specs nor supplemental details. Look for 1080p/VC-1 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio, plus all the same extras as the 2004 standard-def special edition DVD release.
Retail price also remains unchanged at $29.98.
As always, you'll find updated disc details for 'Cat People (1982)' linked from our HD DVD Release Schedule, where it is indexed under December 26.
We've also set up a dedicated thread for the reschedule felines in our Forums area -- click the following links to discuss the 'Cat People (1982)' HD DVD release.
