Warner Unveils Specs for First Blu-ray Titles

Following last week's announcement of its first four titles to debut on
Blu-ray, Warner has now revealed full specs for each of the releases, which are set to include
the same bonus features as found on their HD DVD and standard DVD counterparts.
Due on August 1, '
Good
Night, and Good Luck,' '
Rumor Has
It...,' '
Training
Day' and '
Kiss
Kiss Bang Bang' will each be a BD-25 single-layer Blu-ray disc and feature a 1080p-encoded video transfer of the film and Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1.
The titles will also feature the same supplemental content as their fellow HD
DVD and standard DVD releases, including audio commentaries, featurettes and deleted
scenes ('Training Day' will not, however, include an optional Dolby TrueHD soundtrack as found on the film's HD DVD release).
Warner's Blu-ray strategy comes as somewhat of a departure from current Blu-ray
supporting studios Sony and Lionsgate, which so far have largely eschewed including
the majority of extras from the standard DVD releases.
Complete details for all four of Warner's initial Blu-ray titles, including
box cover art, have been added to our complete Blu-ray Release
Schedule.
