Warner has announced final specs for 'Appleseed: Ex Machina,' which will hit Blu-ray and HD DVD this Spring as a fully-loaded special edition.
As we've previously reported, the John Woo-produced 'Appleseed: Ex Machina' is due to hit Blu-ray on March 11 (day-and-date with single-disc and-two-disc standard DVD versions); that edition will be followed three weeks later by the HD DVD on April 1.
Initial specs were scarce, but now the full details are in and they're sure to please fans of the flick. Extras shared between all three versions of the film include audio commentary (with producer Joe Chou and renowned anime expert Jerry Beck), and two documentary featurettes ("Team-Up: John Woo and Shinji Aramaki," "Revolution: Animating Ex Machina").
Exclusive to the high-def and two-disc DVD editions are a pair of additional featurettes, "Shirow’s Journey: The Appleseed Chronicles" and "Appleseed Ex Machina: East Meets West."
Tech specs include 1080p/VC-1 video (1.78:1) and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio in English, French and Spanish.
Warner has set matching suggested list prices of $34.99 for the Blu-ray and HD DVD.
