Just in from retailers, Wellspring/Genius has announced a November Blu-ray release date for the Star Wars-inspired mockumentary 'Fanboys.'
A fictionalized tale of a group of diehard 'Star Wars' fans who attempt to break into the Lucasfilm Ranch to steal a copy of 'The Phantom Menace' for a dying friend, 'Fanboys' generated both praise and controversy due to its cancer-related storyline and managed only a brief theatrical run earlier this year.
Though Wellspring has not yet announced whether the film will be presented in its theatrical form on video or in a different cut, the indie has announced to retailers a Blu-ray arrival of November 18, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
There are no tech specs yet, but we'll keep you posted as soon as further details are confirmed to us.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.98.
As we await full specs, you'll find preliminary details for 'Fanboys' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under November 18.
