Earth's mightiest heroes are making Fandango history.
Avengers: Infinity War is currently taking in record presales on Fandango, outpacing advance ticket purchases for the last seven Marvel superhero films...combined! The movie comes from directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, and is set to hit theaters on April 27, a week earlier than its originally planned May 4 release date.
At the moment, Infinity War is now selling more than double the amount of tickets that Black Panther was selling at the same point in its pre-release window. The movie is now on track to top all other superhero films when it comes to advance ticket purchases through Fandango. On that note, box office predictions put the movie's opening weekend total at an estimated $175 million to $200 million.
Avengers: Infinity War stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa / Black Panther, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, and more as they all go head-to-head against Josh Brolin as the villainous Thanos.
Other upcoming Marvel films include Peyton Reed's Ant-Man and the Wasp which is set to hit theaters on July 6. In addition, the studio is set to release Captain Marvel, a currently untitled fourth Avengers movie, and a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2019, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
