'92 team only included in preorders.
The 2016 Olympics are occurring right now in Rio, and if need a break from all the swimming, there is of course basketball. But what Olympic basketball needs are two serious competitors.
That's basically what 2K is pitching with 'NBA 2K17.' The 2016 USA Men's National Team, including Coach K, comes with the game. Preorders get the '92 team, the original Dream Team.
So that means that preorder players can play the '16 team against the '92 team. That is what is being showcased the trailer below.
No doubt, the '92 team is about as iconic as it gets. I hope there winds up being a way that non preorders can get the team, because it really does seem like a can't-miss.
The current team isn't a throw-in, but it's having both teams that makes having the '16 make sense.
And as a reminder, preorders will be playable 4 days early during the NBA 2K Early Tip-Off Weekend. The normal release date is September 20th.
