The affordable displays offer Dolby Vision HDR, wide color gamut support, and full array local dimming.
TCL has announced the launch of its 2018 6-Series 4K Roku TV lineup. The collection includes a 55-inch ($650 introductory price) and 65-inch ($1,000 introductory price) model.

These TVs directly reflect the innovation and deep expertise that allows TCL to deliver a superior consumer experience for those who want more from the leading technologies featured in our TVs, like Dolby Vision and the Roku® OS," said Chris Larson, Senior Vice President, TCL. "With improved cinematic picture quality and a sleek new cosmetic design to match that amazing picture performance, the 6-Series is a product that you can be proud of even when it is turned off. We are confident that this line will further solidify TCL’s position as a leader in North America and the global consumer electronics industry."
Serving as a successor to the highly rated and affordable 2017 P Series, the flagship 55-inch and 65-inch 2018 6-Series displays feature Dolby Vision and HDR10 support, along with the Roku OS smart TV platform. In addition, the sets use Contrast Control Zone Technology with 96 dimming zones on the 55-inch model and 120 dimming zones on the 65-inch model. Likewise, the panels use NBP Photon technology with LED phosphors to provide Wide Color Gamut support. A new iPQ Engine is implemented as well to maximize coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut and provide accurate color settings right out of the box. An HDR Pro Gamma feature is also offered to maintain details in dark and bright scenes regardless of a room's lighting conditions. Finally, each TV features a bold, brushed metal finish and includes the new Roku TV Voice Remote
The 65R617 65-Inch 6-Series 4K Roku TV is now available for a special pre-order introductory price of $1,000 and the 55R617 55-Inch 6-Series 4K Roku TV is now available for a special pre-order introductory price of $650. It is not yet clear how long this pricing will remain active.
