James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water Streaming 4K UHD Coming March 28th - Discs can't be too far behind!

His name is James, James Cameron
The bravest pioneer
No budget too steep, no sea too deep
Who's that?
It's him, James Cameron
James, James Cameron explorer of the sea
With a dying thirst to be the first
Could it be? Yeah that's him!
James Cameron

Prepare to return to Pandora on March 28th for James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water is coming to digital retailers
Prime, Vudu, Apple TV, and other Movies Anywhere-connected Platforms.

After an impressive critical response - even if our own Bryan Kluger was less forgiving in his review (I liked it a lot BTW) - Avatar: The Way of Water one again proved that you never bet against James Cameron because James Cameron will do what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron. Now this announcement is only for the digital streaming sale/rental release on various platforms. No word about Disney+ and certainly no news about disc release so we don't have any word on a new Blu-ray or 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release of Avatar - and we certainly don't know when The Abyss or even True Lies might be coming down the pipeline. Hopefully, the wait for a disc announcement isn't as long as Top Gun: Maverick. Needless to say - 2023 is a big year for James Cameron fans. What we do know is what's coming with this streaming release and it'll give you an idea of what to expect for the eventual disc releases of Avatar: The Way of Water.

Bonus Features:

Inside Pandora's Box (A series of featurettes on the challenges facing cast and crew as filmmakers devise new technologies to push the limits of cinema)

  • Building the World of Pandora – James Cameron and a team of talented artists combine years of research with their design skills to build the world of Pandora with new characters, creatures, indigenous clans, underwater environments and the take-no-prisoners hard-tech world of the RDA.
  • Capturing Pandora – James Cameron’s approach to performance capture has the cast performing in a volume rigged with infrared cameras to capture their movement, and head rig cameras to capture emotion on their faces with only the boundaries of imagination to limit them.
  • The Undersea World of Pandora – Co-production designer Dylan Cole and his team conceive of the marine creatures required for Avatar: The Way of Water while James Cameron and his stunt team devise extraordinary means to bring those creatures to life in a performance capture tank.
  • The Challenges of Pandora's Waters – James Cameron tackles the “non-trivial challenge” of performance capture above and below the water’s surface, utilizing a wave machine and current generator to reproduce ocean conditions, and underwater vehicles to replicate creature movement.
  • Pandora’s Returning Characters – James Cameron reunites with his returning cast – Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang. Together they discuss the amazing evolution of their characters in Avatar: The Way of Water.
  • Pandora’s Next Generation – Meet the talented young newcomers who have been cast as the next generation of Na’vi and follow them through the adventure of making Avatar: The Way of Water.
  • Spider's Web – James Cameron introduced the human character of Spider into the fabric of Pandora – thus creating a host of technological challenges on set…and an incredible journey for the young actor, Jack Champion.
  • Becoming Na’vi – The Avatar cast is immersed in the culture of the indigenous Na’vi, living off the land in the Hawaiian rainforest and training in a multitude of disciplines in preparation for their roles.
  • The Reef People of Pandora – In true James Cameron-style, the Metkayina reef clan has been developed with great attention to detail, bearing unique evolutionary traits and a culture – with new dwellings, new clothes and different way of life – all a result of living off the ocean.
  • Bringing Pandora to Life – Once James Cameron completes his virtual production process, every sequence is turned over to Wētā FX to bring Pandora to life – with unprecedented advancements in facial performance, environments and making CG water look real.
  • The RDA Returns to Pandora – Co-production designer Ben Procter and his team present an armada of new vehicles and human technologies that the RDA brings to Pandora – in concept design and with practical builds.
  • The New Characters of Pandora – Meet the important new characters of the Avatar saga played by Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell and Jemaine Clement.
  • The Sounds of Pandora – Hear how James Cameron worked with composer Simon Franglen to create the distinctive music of The Way of Water while building on James Horner’s brilliant score for Avatar, and learn how Chris Boyes created the immersive sounds of Pandora.
  • New Zealand – Pandora’s Home – The production of the Avatar sequels is so thoroughly ensconced in New Zealand that James Cameron considers The Way of Water a “New Zealand film.” Hear reflections from the cast and crew, including the remarkable New Zealand crew, on making the film.

More from Pandora's Box (Additional featurettes that highlight special teams within the production)

  • Casting – Discover the screen tests that won the talented young cast their roles in Avatar: The Way of Water.
  • Stunts – The Avatar stunt team isn’t just creating breathtaking action, they’re driving the story. From racing underwater on ilus, flying the skies on ikrans, to maneuvering RDA speed boats, the stunt team leaves you breathless and wanting more.
  • The Lab – Explore the Lightstorm Lab, the backbone of virtual production for the Avatar films. Comprised of specialized teams, the Lab builds & supports every aspect of the production – environments, motion edit, Kabuki, sequence, post-viz and software development.
  • The Troupe – Avatar’s Troupe is the Swiss Army Knife of acting, while playing dozens of roles on set, in the performance capture volume and on live-action sets, they bring life to Na’vi clans and RDA Recoms. They also play Na’vi-scale puppets on the live-action sets.

Marketing Materials & Music Video (Marketing materials used to build audience awareness of the film)

  • Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength) Music Video – Multi-Grammy-winning, music superstar, The Weeknd, performs his emotionally packed end title song in the official music video for the smash hit “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength).”
  • Theatrical Trailers 1 & 2 – Avatar: The Way of Water used two theatrical trailers to engage the audience. The first was a teaser trailer released 7 months before the film. The second was a standard trailer that premiered 5 weeks before the film’s release.

Time to Catch Your Breath - 4K UHD & Blu-ray Shopping Guide March 5, 2023

Harrison Ford, Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas, oh my! Sprinkle in some Joan Crawford and it's a quality week. After last week, it's time to catch a breath and prepare ourselves for the next wave. At this point it looks like April is lining up to be another huge month.

Welcome to Volume 3 Episode 41 of our weekly release guide. A look at the highlights of what's coming to disc the week of March 5th - March 11th, as well as a look at announcements from last week.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

There are zero, none, nada, zilch new releases this week. Brand new to 4K though is Mildred Pierce (1945), a classic melodrama crime mystery starring Joan Crawford, brought to us via Criterion.

Sony reissues a pair of 4Ks as SteelBooks, and just like before, a Dolby Vision upgrade on each release. First, Air Force One, the action/thriller starring Harrison Ford. And second, The Mask of Zorro starring Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Closing out the category, I did mention Best Buy was spacing out their Rocky SteelBooks over 4 weeks, this week you can get Rocky II.

Next week, the next Rocky, a hard to get out of print film debuts to 4K and one of director Walter Hill's finest.

Blu-ray releases-

There are no blu-ray counterparts of the above titles releasing this week. Let's just get to the highlights for the rest of the category.

New drama release from Universal with Women Talking.

The Warner Archive has drama/romance Camille starring and Greta Garbo and Robert Taylor (I). Also this week look for a bipoic about Broadway star Lillian Roth with I'll Cry Tomorrow, starring Susan Hayward.

Who doesn't want a Christmas movie in March? RLJ & Shudder Originals has Christmas Bloody Christmas this week. Another Christmas movie with Santa on a killing spree, worth a look I s'pose.

Horror release The House That Screamed comes via Arrow Video (previously released by Scream Factory).

Three more VHS Retro Look titles from Mill Creek, Fear, The Fan and Problem Child.

Anime highlights include Heaven Official's Blessing - Season 1, which comes in a Standard Edition and as a Limited Edition, and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation - Season 1 Part 2.

Honorable Mention: This one goes out to those that want everything Cecil B. DeMille, Kino Lorber releases The Crusades this week.

Notable announcements from last week:

Warner Bros. has officially detailed the Superman 5-Film Collection for 4K release on April 18th. What you get is Superman I - IV, with two cuts of Superman II. Amazon also is offering the collection as a SteelBook set.

Sandpiper Pictures has added several more blu-ray titles to their April 25th slate, they are The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, The Fantasticks, Kid Galahad and Stanley & Iris.   The latter three were all previously available on the Twilight Time label.

Shout! Factory has revealed several titles for May, in no particular order they are Conquest Of Space / I Married A Monster From Outer Space (Double Feature), The Morning After (1986), The Tiger Cage Collection, Skyline 4K, Brotherhood Of The Wolf 4K, Highwaymen and The Haunting 4K. This seems a little light to me, I really would't be surprised to see more titles added in the next week or so, definitely some Anime.

Paramount will be releasing Deep Impact to 4K disc on May 2nd.

LionsGate is  releasing The Man Who Fell to Earth to 4K Best Buy Exclusive SteelBook on April 25th.

Empty Out Your Wallet! 4K UHD & Blu-ray Shopping Guide Feb 26, 2023

Naval aviators of the 'forgotten war',  Antonio Banderas' best known animated character, a star studded crime/thriller, two more Laikas, Rocky Balboa, Denzel Washington trains a rookie and more. This week we might just need to extend our line of credit or empty our savings account, there's a lot of something for everyone.

Welcome to Volume 3 Episode 39 of our weekly release guide. A look at the highlights of what's coming to disc the week of Febrary 26th - March 4th, as well as a look at announcements from last week.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

If you want everything 4K, your video rack is going to add quite a few titles. Excluding the import, there are a total of 17 skus. It's not as bad when you do a break down, but it's still rough.

For new releases, first let's visit the "Forgotten War" with another 'first' in Devotion, a true story about the first black Naval aviator. Partaking in the Korean war, two elite pilots turn the tide in a brutal battle.

The other new release this week stars Antonio Banderas in a reprisal role with Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

Moving right along to catalog titles, sorted by distributor, let's begin with Kino Lorber and Marathon Man, a crime/thriller with the likes of Dustin Hoffman, Laurence Olivier and Roy Scheider.

LionsGate has a double-dip of sense, the John Wick Stash Book Collection – SteelBook Box Set which is only available at Best Buy.

Finally no need to import it, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre comes to us via the MPI Media Group. Available as a standard edition and as a SteelBook edition.

Shout Factory's next batch of Laika Studios releases is available this Tuesday. Look for The Boxtrolls, available as a Standard edition and as a SteelBook edition, and Kubo and the Two Strings, also available as a Standard edition and a SteelBook edition. Thus far these new SteelBooks have had some incredible artwork.

Last, but certainly not least comes Warner Bros., Rocky leads off the pack with Rocky: The Knockout Collection (I-IV), part IV having both the theatrical and director's ultimate cut. If you are for the SteelBooks, Best Buy is sprinkling each film over the next three weeks, this week you get the original film, Rocky.

Also from Warner, Training Day gets a standard edition, a Best Buy Exclusive SteelBook, and if you want to import a much nicer version, a Zavvi Exclusive Premium SteelBook. The latter might not be available to ship directly as of press date as Zavvi is making some changes to how they operate.

From Vinegar Syndrome, the general release of From Beyond. The limited edition is no longer available from their site.

Import Friday brings Possessor Uncut edition, from Turbine media.

Next week has more Rocky, Sony reissues two more SteelBooks with Dolby Vision upgrades and Criterion Collection has a classic melodrama.

Blu-ray releases-

The same holds true for blu-ray releases this week, your financial well being is in danger.

Blu-ray counterparts of the above category first, Devotion comes to us from Paramount and for Puss in Boots, we get a standard edition, a Walmart Exclusive and the two-movie collection.

Our favorite action actor Bruce Willis returns this week with the third film of the trilogy, Detective Knight: Independence, which comes to us via LionsGate. In a different genre, think fantasy/horror,  B'Twixt Now and Sunrise.

From Warner Bros, late 60s animated release The Adventures of Batman: The Complete Collection debuts on blu-ray.

Sony Pictures has the Whitney Houston biopic Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody.

Criterion Collection has Hollywood Shuffle and Two Films By Marguerite Duras.

If you want to see a Western done Hong kong style, try out Millionaires’ Express from Arrow Video.

Anime highlights include a Fist of the North Star feature, Ghost Stories - Complete Collection, Jujutsu Kaisen: Season 1 Part 1, which is available as a Standard Edition and as a Limited Edition, Revisions: Complete Collection and Sailor Moon R: Complete Second Season.

Honorable Mention:  A few weeks ago we saw a handful of 'Disney 100' blu-ray releases at Walmart, which had a special cover art and a limited edition pin. I spotted the same ones (minus the limited edition pin) at Best Buy as well. This week gives us the next wave that includes 101 Dalmatians, The Aristocats, Frozen II, The Jungle Book, Lady and the Tramp, Robin Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, Wreck it Ralph and Zootopia. No doubt the same editions will be at Best Buy and the Disney movie club.

Amazon U.S. has the February Imprint Films titles available on Friday, they are:

Notable announcements from last week:

Paramount has officially announced the Star Trek Next Generation films for 4K release on April 4th. There will also be remastered blu-rays available the same day.

Warner Bros. will be releasing Superman I - IV to 4K disc on April 18th. It will include two cuts of Superman II. Also available will be the collection, as an Amazon Exclusive SteelBook.

LionsGate will be releasing Plane (starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter) to 4K and blu-ray on March 28th.

Arrow Video's May release slate is pretty exciting, for the US/Canada market look for Blackhat, Blackhat 4K, Hand of Death and The Last Starfighter 4K. The UK will be getting Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas 4K as well as The Beta Test on blu-ray.

Which titles are you buying this week? Which ones are on your wishlist, be it to buy as an impulse buy or to wait for the right price?

It's A Bird! It's A Plane! It's A Superman 5-Film 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Collection & SteelBook!

The classic Christopher Reeve Superman adventures will all fly high on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on April 18th now coming May 9th

So far stateside we're only getting 5-film collections, however, in the UK they appear to be getting single-title releases. We've asked whether or not those single releases are coming here so those who only want the first two... or those people who only want Superman IV can get that. We also don't know yet if Superman: The Movie will be the reported new remaster or simply a repress of the 2018 disc - Again we've asked about that as well as HDR (HDR10 or Dolby Vision) for all films, Atmos for all films, etc. As soon as we get those answers we'll update our listings. But for sure, this is what's coming our way: A 4K UHD Blu-ray box set containing Superman: The Movie, Superman II, Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, Superman III, and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace in celebration of Warner Brothers' 100th Anniversary will be available on April 18. There will also be an Amazon-exclusive SteelBook release featuring the classic poster artwork on each SteelBook case along with a whole bunch of swag including a lenticular card of the phantom zone, comic book, and certificate of authenticity.

UPDATE 3/21/23
We just received word that Warner Bros is delaying the release now until May 9th, 2023 but digital releases should still stick to the April 18th release date.

About the Films:

Superman: The Movie

Academy Award winners Marlon Brando and Gene Hackman head an all-star cast in the fantastic, action-packed film that made Christopher Reeve an international star playing the greatest superhero of all time.  From the doomed planet of Krypton, two parents launch a spaceship carrying their infant son to earth.  Here he grows up to become Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet.  But with powers and abilities far beyond those of ordinary men, he battles for truth and justice as Superman.

An Alexander Salkind presentation and directed by Richard Donner (The Goonies, Lethal Weapon, The Lost Boys), the film stars Academy Award winner Marlon Brando (On the Waterfront, The Godfather) as Jor-El, Academy Award winner Gene Hackman (The French Connection, Unforgiven) as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman.

Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman was produced by Pierre Spengler from a story by Mario Puzo and a screenplay by Puzo, David Newman, Leslie Newman, and Robert Benton.  Ilya Salkind served as executive producer.  The film also features Ned Beatty as Otis, Jackie Cooper as Perry White, Glen Ford as Jonathan Kent, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, Valerie Perrine as Eve Teschmacher, and Terrance Stamp as General Zod.

Superman was nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Film Editing, Best Music (Original Score) and Best Sound.  The film also received a Special Achievement Academy Award for Visual Effects.  In 2017, Superman was inducted into the Library of Congress National Film Registry.

SYNOPSIS

Superman II (Theatrical Version)

Unwittingly released from Phantom Zone imprisonment, three superpowered Planet Krypton criminals Terence Stamp, Sarah Douglas and Jack O'Halloran) plan to enslave Earth – just when Superman (Christopher Reeve) decides to show a more romantic side to Lois Lane (Margot Kidder). Gene Hackman also returns as Lex Luthor in this sequel that features a top supporting cast, witty Richard Lester direction, and visuals that astound and delight.

Directed by Richard Lester (A Hard Day’s Night, The Three Musketeers), the film stars Academy Award winner Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman.

Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film was produced by Pierre Spengler from a story by Mario Puzo and a screenplay by Puzo, David Newman, and Leslie Newman.  Alexander Salkind and Ilya Salkind served as executive producer.  The film also features Ned Beatty as Otis, Jackie Cooper as Perry White, Sarah Douglas as Ursa, Jack O’Halloran as Non, Valerie Perrine as Eve Teschmacher, Susannah York as Lara, and Terrence Stamp as General Zod.

Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut

Director Richard Donner began shooting Superman II while concurrently filming Superman: The Movie, though the theatrical version of the film was ultimately directed by Richard Lester. In 2006, Donner’s original unique vision was released for the first time. Jor-El (Marlon Brando in footage cut from the theatrical version) appears in key scenes that amplify Superman lore and deepen the relationship between father and son. Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) plots more schemes to unmask Clark Kent as Superman (Christopher Reeve). With so many changes, large and small, including a different beginning and resolution, this version is an eye-opening alternate experience.

Directed by Richard Donner, the film stars Academy Award winner Marlon Brando as Jor-El, Academy Award winner Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman.

Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film was produced by Pierre Spengler and Michael Tau from a story by Mario Puzo and a screenplay by Puzo, David Newman, and Leslie Newman.  Ilya Salkind served as executive producer.

Superman III

Meet Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor), a naive computer-programming natural. For him, a keyboard is a weapon – and, as a result, Superman faces the microelectronic menace of his life. Christopher Reeve reprises his signature role, deepening his character’s human side as Clark Kent sees Lana Lang (Annette O’Toole) at a Smallville High class reunion. And when the Man of Steel becomes his own worst enemy after exposure to Kryptonite, Reeve pulls off both roles with dazzling skill. Relive Superman III with all its heart, heroism and high-flying humor.

Directed by Richard Lester, the film stars Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane.

Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film was produced by Pierre Spengler from a screenplay by David Newman and Leslie Newman.  Alexander Salkind and Ilya Salkind served as executive producer.  The film also features Richard Pryor as Gus Gorman, Jackie White as Perry White, Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen, Annette O’Toole as Lana Lang, and Robert Vaughn as Ross Webster.

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace

Christopher Reeve not only dons the title hero’s cape for the fourth time but also helped develop the movie’s provocative theme: nuclear disarmament. To make the world safe for nuclear arms merchants, Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman) creates a new being to challenge the Man of Steel: the radiation-charged Nuclear Man (Mark Pillow). The two foes clash in an explosive extravaganza that sees Superman save the Statue of Liberty, plug the volcanic eruption of Mount Etna and rebuild the demolished Great Wall of China.

Directed by Sydney J. Furie (The Ipcress File, Iron Eagle), the film stars Academy Award winner Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman.

Based on the DC character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the film was produced by Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan from a story by Christopher Reeve & Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal and a screenplay by Konner & Rosenthal.  The film also features Jackie Cooper as Perry White, Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen, Jon Cryer as Lenny, Sam Wanamaker as David Warfield, Mark Pillow as Nuclear Man, and Mariel Hemingway as Lacy Warfield.

Star Trek: The Next Generation Movies Hit 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on April 4...Engage!

The four Star Trek: The Next Generation movies will be warping to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in a 4-Film Set as well as individually on April 4.

Space... the frontier, the continuing cinematic voyages of the starship Enterprise carry on with the Next Generation crew. Watch as they challenge Malcolm McDowell, the Swedish-sounding Borg, a rogue faction within Starfleet and ultimately Picard's clone. The films varied in quality from one to the next, some simply would have made better stand-alone episodes than feature films, but there are some incredibly memorable cinematic moments to enjoy.

NOT Dazed, or Confused, it's the 4K UHD & Blu-ray Shopping Guide Feb 19, 2023

From a post-apocalyptic TV series event, a feel good baseball movie, a solid high school movie, Sir Sean Connery as Drago, the original Magnificent Seven and more, this week has a lot of quality releases to consider. And that's just a summary of 4K titles.

Welcome to Volume 3 Episode 38 of our weekly release guide. A look at the highlights of what's coming to disc the week of Febrary 19th - February 25th, as well as a look at announcements from last week.

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Releases-

Compared to the past couple of weeks, this week is huge. The single new movie release this week is a feel-good baseball movie titled Running the Bases. Unless I am mistaken, this is Mill Creek's first 4K release.

TV on disc new release is from Paramount with Station Eleven, described as a 'post apocalyptic saga.'

On to catalog titles, Criterion Collection has got Dazed and Confused. Bryan's review is putting this as a "Must Own" release.

Shout Factory has Dragonheart and Shout Select has the (original) 1960 release of The Magnificent Seven.

Sticking with the same production house, Scream Factory is offering up The Slumber Party Massacre (1982) / Slumber Party Massacre II in one package.

A pair of recommended releases (if you like that genre) from Blue Underground with Eugenie (Philosophy in the Boudoir) and Marquis de Sade's Justine.

From Sony Pictures, The Remains of the Day with Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson.

Circling back to Paramount, a double-dip in a sense, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit gets a standalone release outside of the five film collection.

Next week is a pretty big week too with two more Laika 4K releases (SteelBook and standard), Devotion, Puss in Boots, Rocky 1-4, Training Day and more!

Blu-ray releases-

Blu-ray counterparts of the above 4K releases above, Station Eleven and Running the Bases each get their respective releases.

From Searchlight Pictures, the 2022 drama/romance Empire of Light.

From Sony Pictures Classics, foreign romance/war film Indochine and Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams. From their standard label, 1962's comedy/musical Ring-a-ding Rhythm.

LionsGate's films of the week are The Inspection, The Price We Pay and The Old Way. The latter is a Western with Nicolas Cage. If you were hoping for Bruce Willis, that is coming next week with Detective Knight: Independence.

Anime highlights include Clannad / Clannad After Story - Complete Collection, Giovanni's Island and Love After World Domination: The Complete Season.

How about a little martial arts action with Magnificent Warriors from Arrow Video?

Mill Creek has a trio of collections worth looking at, Epic Showdowns - 4 Action Movies, Sci-Fi from the Vault: 4 Classic Films and Thrillers from the Vault: 8 Classic Horror Films.

Honorable mention: If you are looking to complete a Steve McQueen collection, this week Kino Lorber has got The Hunter available to purchase.

Notable announcements from last week:

Criterion Collection's May releases have been announced. You can thank me for them adding Wings of Desire to the 4K slate, I literally just bought the UK Import. Thelma & Louise is a nice bonus too, check it out!

Universal has officially announced M3GAN will include the unrated cut, with a March 21 release date. And nope, no 4K disc. I suspect you can thank Blumhouse for that one, we have seen them produce films for Sony as well without 4K physical. Maybe in the future.

If you thought you were going to collect them all and not hurt your wallet too badly, think again. It looks like the entire Disney animated film catalog is coming to Walmart/DMC exclusive blu-ray and/or Best Buy 4K SteelBooks. Additional titles include The Aristocats, The Jungle Book, Zootopia, Tangled, Frozen II, Sleeping Beauty, Lady and The Tramp, Wreck-It Ralph, Robin Hood and 101 Dalmatians on 2/28, Finding Nemo, Coco, Brave, Cars, Up, The Incredibles and Monsters, Inc. on June 13, Mickey & Friends 10 Classic Shorts – Volume 2 on June 27, Iron Man SteelBook on September 5, The Lion King, Aladdin, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Fox and the Hound, Cinderella, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs and Alice In Wonderland on October 17th. It was previously noted that Cinderella will be getting a 4K release on March 28th via the Disney Movie Club. This one is probably like Strange World was released.

Sandpiper Films is bringing 3 more Twilight Time releases back in print, they are Bulletproof Monk, The Quiet American (1958) and Year of the Comet. Look for these on April 18th.
